Eva Dominelli (she/her) is an Illustrator, Animator, and Visual Artist living in Vancouver, BC, situated on the unceded territories and traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2017 with a BFA in Illustration.
Eva’s work focuses on album art, posters, hand-lettering, t-shirts and merch design, editorial, personal watercolours, and animation. She has self-published several artist’s books, including her acclaimed 2020 zine, “Things Men Say to Me at Work,” which won Broken Pencil’s Art Zine of the Year award. In 2022, Eva was nominated for Video Director of the Year by the Western Canadian Music Awards.
Eva’s artistry draws inspiration from her daily observations, dreams, and a love for vintage children’s picture books. Using watercolour and gouache, her paintings blend social commentary with enigmatic narratives created from her personal myths and motifs, inviting viewers into her vivid visual world.
